Bitmapped Fonts | Pixel Fonts

Remember I mentioned there is a new font in the graphic design arena? And I couldn't remember the name? It's called a "bitmapped font" or a "pixel font."

The purpose of "bitmapped fonts" is that they avoid using curves...instead, they just have a pixel block to suggest a curve. Millions of "colours" or "greyscales" aren't used - it's just a hard-edged block. This cuts down on the file size, plus, the font tends to look more clear on a web site, because you're viewing it on a low resolution screen.
